Well things are looking up...the smoke detector hasn't chirped since we put a new battery in it, the toilet hasn't leaked since we put the right gasket in it, and when I took the car to the dealership this morning they replaced the battery which was nearly dead, with a brand new battery for free!
On another note it is 4/20 day today. I had to explain to hubby why people are making such a big deal about this day, why there were so many cops stopping people today, and why there was a line around the block to get into the marijuana dispensary when we drove by today. For those who don't live in an area where marijuana is legal, today's date--4/20--is police code for a marijuana. Since it is legal in Nevada, there are marijuana parties everywhere today.
Hubby and I haven't tried pot since the 1970s and have no intention of doing so now even though it is legal but some of his (elderly) friends use it and many have recommended CBD oil (which apparently doesn't make you high) for pain. Hmmm
It becomes legal in all of Canada some time this summer, they figure seniors are the #1 group that will start using it for medical purposes since there will no longer be a stigma attached. We have medical marijuana here but it still makes it stigmatized when it is not legal for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI've only heard good things about medicinal marijuana so hubby might give it a try (the oil that doesn't make you high). I was just really surprised how many seniors use it!
