Today is Memorial Day and as we have done for the last several years, hubby and I went to the free military buffet at the Southpoint Casino. This is my favorite casino in Vegas and it is really nice of them to give so many military members (about 6900 people each Memorial Day) such a nice treat!
It was hot last week...
...so this is how hubby drives.
In other news, our apricot tree is producing marvelously this year...
...but I can't say the same for our tomatoes.
For the last three days I have been 100% WFPB vegan (even at the buffet today)...yeah me!

If you are not getting tomatoes, maybe you could learn to eat a bacon, lettuce, and apricot sandwich. That is a great buffet for so many military!
ReplyDeleteI was a much better gardener in Seattle where the weather cooperated--here everything gets dehydrated quickly, even produce left out on the counter!

DeleteOh my! The apricots are beautiful! Smart to drive with gloves. Do you put a sunshield in the car when it's parked? That might help a little.
ReplyDeleteYes, we definitely use a sun shield but the closed up car gets so hot, everything inside is too hot to touch!
