It is interesting to see how the concept of work is changing. In this article there is debate about how short of a work week we could end up with eventually. One day? That sounds nice to me! Many school districts seem to be leading the way with reducing work days simply to save money. Fire fighters have often had a shortened work week. Nurses too.
The twin challenges of saving money and automation seem to be speeding the process along and with an article today pointing out that childcare in our area costs as much as rent, the time for fewer work days probably can't come soon enough. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
