Living Without

No, not me.  We all know I can't go more than a few days without shopping or junk food...unfortunately.  But I did come across these two articles about how people are living without--like without spending for 16 years--that you may find fascinating...

  1. Thanks for sharing! I don't think I could go that long but it is inspiring.

  2. Wow, I don't think I could live without at least a place to sleep! But swapping is a great way to get something for cheap or free. I swapped veggies from my garden before. People are sometimes very generous and give away stuff they don't need any more too. I got a like-new microwave right before Christmas (ours broke 4 days before holidays, and somebody was giving away hers). It was such a blessing for us!

  3. Thanks for sharing, we cut WAY back at the local grocery store laat year but I don't think I could go a full year

  4. I read a post on the Not Buying Anything blog the other day and found it quite upsetting that in some places it's illegal to collect rainwater and that someday home gardens may be taxed. Here is the link to the post: http://notbuyinganything.blogspot.com/2012/01/opting-out-increasingly.html
